This Week At A-CX: August 24 to 30, 2026

This Week At A-CX Turtle

We’ve earned BBB accreditation this week at A-CX, and our internal tools now better handle stopping to ask when a decision needs a person.

BBB Accreditation

We’re pleased to announce that A-CX is now a BBB Accredited Business, through the Mountain West & Pacific Southwest bureau. It puts an independent check on how we handle disputes and how we look after client data. Read the announcement.

Supervised Delivery Runs

Our internal AI tools now stop an unattended delivery run to ask for your verdict when a decision needs a person, then carry on once you have answered. If you use the internal coding agents, read the full update to understand when the tools need assistance and when they can make decisions by themselves. Make sure to re-run your project setup so your repositories pick up the new behavior.

Recording Technical Decisions

This week our development team would like to highlight work done on recording the decisions behind the code. A record of what was decided is worth little without the reasoning that produced it. It is worth checking whether anything in your repository explains a decision your team argued over last month, and getting in touch if you would like help writing those records down.

Thoughts And Technology

Mikko Peltola shared some thoughts about what happens to the value of experience once technical implementation becomes trivial. His answer runs through Generation X and a line from an old colleague about anticipating the unexpected, so read the post.

A-CX has been considering what our new BBB accreditation is supposed to mean. Ville Houttu says no client asked us for the seal, and that six years on the BBB board taught him what it stands for. Read why we wanted it anyway.

What We’ve Been Reading

Working out which problems are worth solving is the hard part of a staff engineer’s job, and this blog post by Lalit Maganti finds them in day-to-day noise rather than scheduled strategy time, tracing a scatter of small interface requests back to one need to extend the tool.
