Peter Rostas is an enthusiastic sailor who loves being on the water, whether he’s racing or just out for the joy of it. His current boat is Typon, a classic Sparkman & Stephens-designed Swan 47, which he bought in 2019 and has sailed on San Francisco Bay ever since. He races both on the Bay and offshore, in events such as Richmond Yacht Club’s Big Daddy Pursuit Race, the Offshore Yacht Racing Association (OYRA) ocean series, and the Rolex Big Boat Series, where he skippered Typon as she flew an old-school blooper on the final run. Off the water, Peter is a sales, marketing, and strategy professional with decades in the technology industry. His professional skills enable him to put the latest tools and technology to work in the sailing hobby, making him and his crew better sailors.
