This Week at A-CX: August 10, 2026

We’re packing for iVT Expo, with a new Solutions section live on the site and a fix that keeps our internal coding agents from stranding work when a merge is refused.

Upcoming Events

Next week A-CX will be at iVT Expo, running August 19 and 20 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center outside Chicago. Ville Houttu and Mikko Peltola will be in Hall F with production-tested off-highway vehicle software and Agentic AI. Come find them and ask what better workflows would look like on your own equipment.

New Solutions Section

We’ve added a Solutions section to our website, gathering the three offering themes, Engineering, Agentic AI, and Secure Cloud, into one entry point. Start there and follow the theme that matches the work you have coming.

Recovering Refused Merges

Our internal AI tools now recover from a refused merge instead of leaving a half-built branch behind, so an unattended run finishes cleanly rather than stranding the work. If you use our coding agents, read the full update and refresh your setup.

Thoughts and Technology

Mikko shared some thoughts about why getting a whole team to use AI is harder than getting the AI to work. Read the post.

Here at A-CX we’ve been talking about heavy machinery, which Ville calls one of the more interesting places for AI right now, since so many of the systems running the industry were built for a different era. Read his post.

What We’ve Been Reading

Claude Code makes auto mode the default for Pro, Max, and Team plans on August 14, and this post by Conner Phillippi reports the command classifier behind it blocked 89 percent of dangerous commands in a study where paid testers caught 13.6 percent.

At Black Hat USA 2026, OpenAI’s Michael Dalton and Eric Wallace walked through how models run with reduced refusals chained several zero-days to escape their sandbox and reach a limited set of Hugging Face internal datasets and credentials, hunting for answers to the benchmark scoring them.
